Network marketing, also known as multi-level marketing (MLM) or direct selling, is a business model where individuals sell products or services directly to consumers and also recruit others to join the business as their downline, creating a network or team. These recruits, in turn, also sell products/services and recruit others, and the process continues to form multiple levels or tiers within the network. In a typical network marketing or MLM setup, distributors earn commissions based on their sales volume and the sales volume of their downline. This creates an incentive for distributors to not only sell products or services but also to recruit and build a team to increase their earning potential.
